Infertile Blood? Conception Is Rare And A New Infertility Support Group

There were a few interesting infertility articles that hit my mail box today and instead of deciding on which one was more interesting and informative to me I figured that I would change up the process for this fertility blog and start sharing little bits of each story along with the links for those of you that are on the look out for the latest information regarding infertility.

  1. The first story has your typical grab your attention headline and I will have to admit it did work for me in this instance as I sat here and read the whole thing. It just seems ridiculous to me that the blood type that you are can either increase or as they like to focus on the negative it can decrease your chances of having a baby. As if we have some sort of choice or there was something we could do about what blood type we are? Really why not just tell everyone that if you are blood type O that you might as well give up on having a kid because you have the wrong blood? The article actually goes on near the end to kind of cover themselves by stating that even though you can’t change your blood type…. really! wow that was a news flash…. the people that did this ‘study’ will need to do more research to verify if this blood type theory has any validity??? Why report it then?
  2. OK enough about the first and we will move onto the second article which had a bit more good news or I will say informative when it comes to their infertility stats. It starts out talking about a study that basically confirms what anyone going through the infertile process knows and that is that your chances of success with IVF are still very slim or as they broke it down to be a little over 7%. That was the stat for the amount of successful unions of sperm and egg there were to create and embryo for implantation.  Read all the way to the end of this one though especially if you are a guy that has some fertility issues or are planning on being a dad. More evidence that you need to take better care of your diet because what you put into your body has a great effect on the number of sperm you produce.
  3. Alrighty then after a couple of so-so articles I felt that the least I could do is finish up with a more positive story about people fighting infertility with news about a new infertility support group in the UK. It’s a good read for those us out there that need to hear about some women that are battling to have a baby. So if you click on any of the links for any of these three stories I would definitely recommend that you follow link number three ;-)

OK my infertility peeps, like I said I am going to try and change up the format or style if you will for how I am going to relay the fertility info for this blog. Like we have said here before the main purpose of this page is to spread latest word on what is going on in the world of infertility so if that means we write a little bit about more stories instead of writing about just one story than so be it.

  1. Link – Blood type affects your chances of having a baby
  2. Link – Fertility study says conception is rare :-?
  3. Link – A new infertility support group in the UK 8-)

As always if you have any more links to stories to share with the community than by all means leave the info in the comments section below. Remember knowledge is power and it is our best offense in the fight against infertility!
